My sincere sympathy to you Nora, your immediate family and close friends on the passing of one of the nicest men I ever met. We joked about he being the Taoiseach's husband and what title he would hold. He had a rich sense of humour. One would have to be on one's toes when Brian was at his best. We are all at the loss of a great character and intellectual. May God love and support you all.RIP.

Dear Nora,
Sincere condolences to you and your family from Carmel and I on Brian’s recent death. As you know, my friendship with Brian goes back to our College days and I have such happy memories of times spent together over the years. He was the complete gentleman and he is probably the only person I know that I have never seen to get angry or lose the rag even when severely provoked; not even on the night when I sat on and mangled his treasured guitar!
May he Rest In Peace, agus ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
