First met Brian in the Washdown Stores Pearse St while working in the Conversion Centre in the mid 80's, calling in, to pick up old parts for cooker and fires. A lovely man to deal and chat to. Spoke to him in the Village a couple of times after he retired. May he RIP. Tom Gardner ex Dublin Gas.

So sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I remember him in the Washdown Stores in Pearse Street and the little old dears coming in looking for thumb pieces for their cookers having walked from D’Olier Street He’d give them the parts, tell em the price and watch the blood drain from their faces. He’d then tell them they were free. He was a thorough gentleman and a kind person. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his wife and family.
