So many memories : Sultans of Ping live concert you arranged at 2am in the field at top of the bog, wheres my jumper.. your bee 🐝 hives and fresh honey, your jaysfluid mix to stop the rabbits eating crops, free rides of your horse to the beach gang the list goes on. Brother Brian you’ll be missed by all and condolences to your family may some of these nice messages give you some peace that Brian touched many lives in a positive way influenced good things and shaped people in a unique way. May he rest in peace and may we all take a leaf from his book.

We express our deepest sympathy to Brian's family on this sad occasion. Over the many years on our annual summer holidays, we so enjoyed our chats with Brian over a cuppa. He would enlighten us about the various environmental challenges around Crosshaven and Myrtleville. He was the true 'Eco Warrior' in his tree saving activities. He was an expert in fishing for mackeral using a 'self made' rod, hook and silver foil as bait! Such a sight to behold! He was a gentle man and a true Gentleman. He was the heartbeat in Crosser and Myrtleville and his likes will never be seen again!

Fond memories of our summers in Myrtleville, sorry to hear of Brian’s passing, deepest sympathy, my thoughts are with you all.

Brian will never be forgotten, his memory will live on. Can’t drive pass the family home without thinking of him. RIP Brian

I just heard that Brian had died, I'm not in Ireland at the moment. I was very upset, I hadn't known that he was ill. I was at school with Brian in the 1970s, he was the kindest and most thoughtful of classmates, always looking out for others, myself included. I'll miss him sorely.

He has rode off into the sunset as the proudest father in the world no doubt. Brian was a huge part of lots of peoples lifes in Myrtleville, and being taught to ride a horse bareback and catch mackeral with a penny hook/sprat were some childhood highlights! The memories of endless summer evenings on the beach and nights in the lodge with him will live on forever.

He was ahead of his time and the battles he fought helped limit the destruction of our natural areas, for the benefit of wildlife & generations to come. This must not be in vein.
