To Chantal, Kevin, Matthew and all the Loughney family, I was saddened to learn today of Brian's passing. I first came to know Brian in La Ferme Irlandaise in Paris and was part of the team who opened Kitty O'Shea's in Paris on Bloomsday 1986. Working for Brian was a great experience and always great fun. He had a 'who's who' of friends from all walks of life who visited when passing through Paris and I always enjoyed meeting him in the years since. May he rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy on Brian’s passing. I fist met him in Boston when I was Consul General and he was the most generous of hosts and the best of company. He also made a real contribution to the Irish community in the city and beyond. Sincere condolences on your loss.
