What an amazing and inspiring man. Whatever task he tackled whether it was cricket , bridge or everyday chores he never gave less than 100%. He should never be forgotten by CSCC as he probably did more to ensure the survival of the club than any other member.My sincere sympathy to his wife and family and may his generous soul rest in peace. Pauline, I was so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I worked with Brian in the late 60’s and early 70’s when he was MD of Gallaghers. He was a great leader and help to me, always encouraging and supporting any new initiatives. He introduced me and many in the company to the game of rugby and played scrum half for our team. Former players always recall Brian’s competitiveness and his cheerfulness, despite the results. He was an exceptional man and a role model for all who worked with him. May he rest in peace. Deepest sympathy to Pauline and all the family at this sad time. I had the honour of playing cricket with Brian in Civil Service C.C. for many years. Brian had a major role in the rebuilding of the pavilion for the club. He was a great competitor on the field, always had great respect for the opposition and a wonderful colleague in the post match socialising.

Such sad news. Brian had a huge influence on many of us, then youngsters, in Civil Service Cricket Club. I loved playing under his guidance. Always leave somewhere better than you found it and he certainly has left a lasting legacy. A wonderful, kind man. It was lovely to have him up in the club back in 2017 to recognise his contribution. There are no words to express my sadness and condolences to you Pauline and the family. Brian was such a lovely, kind man and always very welcoming to myself Tony and the family. I am sending my deepest sympathies to you on this sad news of Brian passing. May he be at ease and no pain as he continues his journey in to the lords hands. I can only imagine the laughter and chats that Brian and Tony will have together. Always here and again so sorry for you all.
