I remember playing on blissful summer evenings in Bishopstown in the '50s and looking jealously and in awe at my handsome neighbour Brian. My sincerest sympathies to Zita and to Brian's family.

My condolences to Brian’s family on his passing. The Coughlans, Waterfall Road, being close neighbours, knew him well in his early years. Charlie was in his class and was a great friend of Brian’s. I remember when the McDermotts moved from Bandon, into their newly built house. Unfortunately his dad had passed away and Brian became
head of the family, as his mother worked hard to support them.
Mrs McDermott visited us regularly she was a great woman and role model. I would have liked to have met him in his later years, he left Bishopstown too soon. May he rest in Peace!
