Deepest sympathy to Colm and Annette. Anytime we met Brian, he always left a lasting impression.
Colm and Annette so sorry to learn of Brians Passing - there are so many things to say but they don't seem to be adequate - the memories of so many happy times spent over the years with Brian have been flooding back - from great times in your home on Walsh road to Holidays and just the joy of growing up together from teenagers into adults - i loved so much about him but one thing stood out - his intellect - the many chats over pints about music, literature the arts - he did me the great honour of being my best man and being godfather to our Son Eoin - times changed and lives diverged and we lost touch but i cherish the memories i have of Him and the closeness we had - Deepest sympathies to you both

Deeply sorry to hear of Brian's sudden passing.
Always friendly, a natural storyteller who could turn even the smallest chat into something memorable, and someone who always had time for a few words of wisdom — and a wave for our kids across the road.
Brian's presence on lower Walsh Road will be truly missed.

So sad to hear of Brian’s sudden passing. We had lost touch since we attended Cathal Brugha St together but I have such great memories of those 4 years, he was a good friend. Taken far too soon. May he rest in peace.

We were both schooled in the Creative Writing
Masters in DCU, and had many a fond conversation and drink in the Cat and Cage in Drumcondra.
It has been a genuine pleasure to know you.
My sincere condolences to the family. Brian was a tremendous storyteller. I remember all the writing we shared in our workshops, and being in such awe when he told me about visiting the spots where Samuel Beckett lived in Paris.
Later in life - he turned that creative illumination into a spark that then involved the pen and paper.
He was a great actor, a national treasure, and a
brilliant mentor to each of us.
I’m thinking of your family.
Brian was an absolute legend
