Brian Murnane

Deeply saddened at the news of Brian's untimely death. I remember him with fondness from our days in Geography in UCD when Brian was a stalwart of the student geography society and later of the Geographical Society of Ireland.

Condolences to Brian’s family and friends at this sad time. A true gentleman at all times -not always easy when representing us in a voluntary capacity.

It was with sadness that I learned of Brians death , a real gentleman , we have a nice conversation at our 50th reunion dinner in the Castle GC last May. May Brian rest in Peace.

I have fond memories of Brian from our schooldays in Terenure College and subsequently on meeting him at our periodic reunion gatherings, most recently last May. Dear Peter and Clare, I remember meeting your father at an annual family Christmas party. I was struck by his warmth and affability, the type of person that even a brief encounter leaves you thinking 'what a truly lovely man'. When I think of that particular party it blurs into the many held over the years, but meeting Brian stands out and that memory remains a vivid and happy one over the many years since. He had that kind of positive impact and we are so incredibly sorry for the tremendous loss faced by his loving family.
