We would like to express our sincere condolences to Olive and family on the passing of Brian. I had the pleasure of being a work colleague of Brian’s for a few years and enjoyed his brilliant sense of humour whenever we met. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

He was so lovely to my kids when we visited, showing interest in their stories and exciting them with tales of his boat. He made such a lovely impression. They still talk about him and the boat. A gentleman to the core. He is with God now for sure.

He was a lovely gentleman and I always enjoyed chatting to him particularly when I used to meet him on his many visits with Olive to her sisters Patricia and Allison's homes in Clare and Galway.

So very sorry to hear that Brian had passed away. Before my brother Eamonn emigrated to Canada many years ago, he played with Shannon and won a Junior Cup medal with them in 1954. He never lost contact with Shannon , any time I met Brian after a Shannon game he would ask me how he was doing, our mother was from Athlunkard St. so the family had long associations with "The Parish".
Brian was a very nice man. Sincere sympathy to his wife Olive and family from Eamonn and I.

Olive sorry to hear of Brian’s passing

I met Brian when I returned to Limerick for work reasons. Such a lovely man and a pleasure to have known. Few equalled his contribution to Irish rugby at all levels of the game. Sincerest condolences to Olive and family at this sad time. RIP Brian.

Sincere sympathy to Olive & family & to sisters Mary & Deirdre on the very sad passing of the great 'Briano'. I had known him for over 70 years, especially as a neighbour in Corbally. We often faced one another on the rugby field, where I was always second best. He was a true legend of rugby in Limerick, Munster & Ireland. His rendition of Stand up and Fight on the Munster team bus will never be forgotten. His presence will be sorely missed. May his soul rest in peace.
