Brian was the epitome of a public servant and arguably the most respected Waterford Oireachtas representative of his political generation. The generous spirit which was the hallmark of his teaching career became more widely known during his 24 years in the Seanad and Dail, and his Chairmanship of the Labour Party underlined the esteem that he was held in by his colleagues. Deepest sympathies to Eileen, John, Paddy, Christine, Anne, Siobhán and Mary, his extended family and the many friends and acquaintances Brian made during a life so richly lived. May he Rest In Peace.

Deepest sympathy to Eileen and the oshea family on the passing of Brian.
I knew Brian through the cancer campaign where he lobbied daily over many years for radiotherapy and cancer services.
All of the resources that were delivered for cancer services including radiotherapy and a palliative care unit were a direct result of his tireless work for families requiring cancer services in the south east.
His genuine appreciation when the first palliative care patient got radiotherapy in waterford said it all.
It would not have been possible to travel.
Brian has made a real difference for cancer services to families throughout
Waterford and the south east
We are all forever grateful.
