Sincere sympathy to Brian's family at this sad time . Brian was a great friend to my late Dad Tony - aswell as being a champion for the working people of Waterford. After the passing of my Grandfather Mick Mansfield in 1991 - Brian moved legislation that made sure widows of War of Independence Veterans were entitled to their pensions . Thus via Brians efforts the widows of those freedom fighters were correctly looked after .
A political legend, a champion of the ordinary man and a true gentleman.
Rest in Peace Brian .

was a pupil of his nearly 40 years back, one of the most kind and well liked teacher. We will meet again one day.
