Sincere condolences on Brian's passing. We stopped for a chat every time we met at the garden gate. I remember Brian as always being cheerful and mowing the garden! RIP.

Sincere sympathy on the death of Brian to his sister Anne , brother Conor and sister in law Catherine. I have many memories of Brian mostly around Glennane . Not tennis or pitch and putt but on the hockey field and then often afterwards in the ‘ Sisters ‘ . Brian was entertaining, excellent company and had a great sense of humour. The pain of loss , as those of us who soldiered on the 4th had often to bear ‘ of a Saturday’ would be dulled by his wit and ability to put everything in perspective . He will be missed by those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest In peace .
Sincere sympathy to all Brian's family and friends. Many happy memories of Brian from Greenlanes golfing society and Two Sisters pub. He introduced me to my first attendance at a Hockey match when Glennane won the leinster league with the warning 'watch your language you're not a hurlin match now'. Rest in peace Brian.
Deepest sympathy to the Fagan family on the death of Brian.
May he rest in peace.
May he rest in peace.
To Anne and Conor, please accept my condolences on the death of Brian.
Fond memories come to mind of growing up in Lavarna and those, seemingly always sun drenched summer days, spent in Glenanne with just pitch and put, tennis and the music of Buddy Holly to occupy us and only the loss of a Dunlop65 (golf ball) in the Poddle to bother us.
Halcyon days , memories of which I still cherish.
May Brian's gentle soul now rest in peace.

My condolances to Anne and Conor on the passing of Brian. Through the 1970’s and beyond Brian was a fixture on my thirds team. He was always absolutely reliable and would turn up on time, also volunteering for pitch marking and other unpopular duties. In the Sisters Brian was always ready to put down his paper and chat and challenge accepted views.
For me Brian was a link to those, in retrospect, more carefree days. I will miss him.

Rest in peace Brian. Thanks for the memories.
My condolances to Brians family, Anne and Conor, on his death. I see from old Glenanne records that Brian joined the club in 1958. He played all four sports in the club. He had a beautiful golf swing and was dubbed Slammin' Sam after the then golf star Sam Snead. His tennis strokes were similarly stylish. He had a beautiful serve. As tennis beginners back in 1961 he slammed me in the final of the Gents Novice Handicap Singles. But it is as a hockey player he will best be remembered. He graced the lower teams in the club for years and years and made many friends in Glenanne and in Leinster hockey circles. A career highlight was reaching the Leinster Junior Cup Final in 1980. The team photograph is in front of me as I write. Always ready to help out Brian and his friends Bob and Dermot unselfishly managed the car parking on manys the big international hockey occasion thereby missing the big games themselves.
Brian was lovely company and was incredibly well informed about the horse racing industry. He could talk form and breeding for hours. As he could on many topics.
Another Glenanne stalwart has left us and he will be sorely missed. Ní beidh a leithéid arís ann.
