Very sorry to hear about the passing of the great raconteur singer in fact general entertainer Brian Power. Our parents (and us) loved hanging out with the ‘Powers and the Murphs’ and all the gang in TC. Brian and Joan were great people - we have very fond memories. I met Brian and Barbera in the Orphan Girl one night last winter and we had a couple of drinks together and talked about old time. Rest in peace to a great character.

Your love of your dear Dad was so obvious from the Victorian Chapel in Dublin to us here about two thousand kilometres away. He was so proud of you all.

He was full of character and craic whether it was organizing the Bathers in Courtown with Freddy ,joining us in the Gorey Male Voice Choir or sharing a beer and shouting at the referee at the Heinican or Irish rugby matches on tv.
