I was very saddened to hear the news of Brian's passing.

Brian was my very first boss when I started out in my first job in the RDS in 1987. I've many memories of working with Brian but the Horse Show memories are some of the strongest. He was an excellent Administrator and had us all prepared to the highest standards for what was to come during those busy months. He was gentle but firm and fair. He introduced me to my first computer and he relished the new technology. He got me interested in Colin Forbes detective books which I still read to this day.

While Brian was a private man, one thing always stood out though was the gentleness he held for his Vivien. His voice would change instantly, for the better, when talking on the phone to her.

Brian, you are most certainly at peace now and my deepest sympathies to Vivien and all the Reid family.
