Dear Anne,
You & your dear family are in my thoughts & prayers!
Ever since meeting Brian, I have looked up to him & admired his ability to treat people fairly & to keep things simple!
The words over his desk: "Don't let the bastards get you down" I hold close to my heart & I think they so reflect Brian!
What an INCREDIBLE person he was!
He was my mentor!
He gave me so many opportunities & taught me so much & I will always remember the way in which he treated me!
I will never forget the 1st time Brian asked me to go get something in town & told me to take his car. I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK!!! When I got into his NEW car and started it up....the stereo came on & played U2: With Or Without You! I LOVE that song & here I was driving my bosses new car & listening to music I love! At that point I saw Brian; someone I admired a great deal & wanted to learn from, as a normal person!
Anne, there are so many GREAT memories I have with Brian & with you!
I have loved & appreciated Brian, you & your family since first meeting you in 1984!
You all have treated me with so much kindness & support!
I will NEVER forget these incredible memories!
When I think of Brian, I will continue to think of:
* Be Honest: with yourself and others
* Work hard, & play hard
* Keep things Simple
* Get to the point
* Try & if you fail...get up and try again
Peace be with us all Anne!
I will be back in Ireland again & I will try to come & see you!

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our good friend Brian Parke. We extend our deepest condolences to you Anne, to Gillian, Hilary, Brian Jnr and the extended family. I worked closely with Brian in the early 1990s during my time with Donegal Co. Council when Brian was managing director of Unifi. I also enjoyed his company every Saturday morning on the golf course in Portsalon. He made an outstanding contribution to the business life of Donegal. May his noble soul rest in peace and may you all be comforted and consoled by the fond memories that he leaves you.
