Deepest sympathies to Oonagh and all Brian’s family, my thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Brian was great.
I heard only today about Brian’s passing – our condolences to Oonagh, Tracy, Emmett, Alan, Jane, Eve and all of Brian’s family. Brian was my father Tom’s cousin and we both met him a few years ago at the Glen of Imaal. Tom and Brian had a really long chat that day and clearly had a lot of respect and affection for each other. I enjoyed being there and hearing the conversation, learning of memories they both had and also seeing them discuss politics, life and other matters.
Condolences too from my mother Ann – we are both thinking of your family and hope that you are coping as well as possible. May you feel Brian’s energy about you always.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Oonagh and Family on the sad passing of Brian May his soul rest in peace RIP
I’m very shocked and deeply saddened on hearing of Brian’s death. We were literally each other’s closest cousins, born within weeks of each other and growing up less than a hundred metres apart on Barton Drive. From cowboy suits to motorcycle boots, we roamed the fields and fell on and off bikes, took a madcap trip on his BMW motorbike where we wound up pushing the damn thing back from Stepaside, laughing all the way… And so on
Brian was a good man, his work and play informed by straightness and generosity alike. He was deeply loyal to friends old and new.
And he was great craic. Conversations with him were never dull, seamlessly blending curiosity, knowledge, practicality, reason and wit. An irreplaceable man. My deepest condolences to Oonagh and to all the family.

Sorry to hear the sad news. Condolences to all, Tracy especially
We are shocked and very saddened to learn of Brian’s passing. I vividly remember meeting Brian at our mutual cousin Tom Stokes’ funeral just over two years ago. Brian was sprightly, youthful and full of laughter. Brian’s independent thinking, his capacity to innovate, to creatively apply his grounded and practical intelligent problem solving and his business acumen was always so evident, I want to thank Brian for his quiet support to me, and to say how genuinely sad we are to hear this news of my cousin’s passing. May he be at peace, knowing that he had such a wonderfully loving family. Our condolences to you Oonagh, and to Brian’s children and grandchildren. He was a pleasure to know, and will be missed. We are sorry for your loss. Take care, Mary & Brian.

So sorry to hear of Brian’s untimely passing, and my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Oonagh and Tracey and all of the Stokes family and friends.
I have only the happiest memories of evenings spent in Brian’s company - of tales exchanged and pints drank. A gifted conversationalist no subject was ever off the table with Brian, and his vast experience of life, business and travel, made him simply great company to be around.
The world and Adhford village will be a lesser place
Without Brian, for with his passing truly a giant has fallen.
I am proud to have known him and will miss him greatly.

Brian will also be missed by his many friends and well remembered.
He will be remembered for his good self, his wonderful engaging family and in many other ways.
Who could forget how Brian ably supported by Oonagh and family provided sanctuary, wonderful hospitality at Inchanappa, Carnag Thunder, with the Brian voice, the conversational ear, all marinated in pints, craic, the jukebox… while sucking the joy from the marrow bone of life or sorting out the world’s problems
He'll be remembered for his serial enterprise; from printing to communications via finance, land development, hospitality, signage, to note a few.
