To my sister Annie ,
Bríd’s youngest daughter . It was comforting to know that you were living close to Mam’s final home when I found her being at a distance so difficult .You created a beautiful home from home for her within BRC .

Thank you for your unwavering dedication to ensuring she was extremely well cared for and for being a powerful advocate for her always .
It’s a month today since she died and I’m listening to the playlist over and over again that you created for her and I’m thinking of how often she would have enjoyed that with you .

To Barra , her one and only favourite son ! you were a wonderful support to Annie and I always in caring for mam , when you lived at an even greater distance … thank you .

To our dearest , kindest , most unselfish , gentle , Mam …thank you .
Because of you and Dad we are who we are . I remain utterly heartbroken at the loss of you both but assure you your legacy lives on strongly in us and your seven wonderful grandchildren .

Dear Barra Melissa Annie and all of Brid’s families. I am deeply saddened for you all on the death of Brid. She was a gentle committed caring woman, wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Her garden was her delight.
She offered comfort to all over tea and freshly made scones. She walked the Wicklow hills and Portmarnock to Malahide in all weathers. I miss her. Rest in Peace Brid

She was a lovely lady and we spent many happy years together walking the Wicklow hills (and others) with our late husbands and those friends and family who sometimes accompanied us. My only regret was that I couldn't get to visit her in Cork due to Des's own illness. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.❤️

To Annie and all the family, I’m sending huge love and hugs. Your Mum had kindness radiating out of her, which as Annie is my great friend, I know Annie must have got from her, as she too has that very special quality, and her Mum’s style and elegance!
Brid had the kindest and most beautiful face, and the biggest heart, and dealt with the latter part of her life with huge grace and dignity.
No matter how old we are, we are always the children, and they are the parents, and it’s very hard to let them go, the loss is so huge, as the love is so great.
I’m sending much love to you all now, and down the road ❤️
