What to say about Nanny B - there quite simply aren’t enough words in the English language to describe what an incredible asset to the world she was. But maybe this will be apt enough:
She travelled to the farthest point in Ireland from Dublin (Beara) to come visit Anna. When I asked her what made her make the trip, she simply said “I needed to know all the people and the places that Anna was telling me about on the phone.” I only hope her enormous heart lives on in all the Behan generations now, and in those to come. What an honour it was to have met and known her as long as I did. My sincere condolences and love to those who have lost her ❤️.

So sorry Brenda,Barry, Brendan and Barbara to hear about your lovely Mam. Deepest sympathy to you all and her extended family on your loss. I have many lovely memories of her as a child when we were all growing up together. Oldcourt has lost yet another lovely neighbour.
