The housekeeper and the postman, Bridie and Jimmy, an institution in Nurney in the time of Fr Hughes and well remembered. So sad to see a part of our youth gone. A wonderful human being.

She was a wonderful friend to me in my youth and indeed later in life too. Many a great meal I enjoyed from Bridie and Fr Hughes in the Parochial House after serving Mass and other great times too. I have still many vivid and special memories of that time. What a cook and a very kind and thoughtful person that I was so privileged to know.
