I have many wonderful, fond memories of happy times in Hammersley's but particularly of Bridie's kitchen with the delicious smell of home baking, a warm cuppa in my hand, the frequent company of extended family and lots of chat and laughter. Bridie was a true lady. She always had time for a chat, wore a ready smile and had a genuine interest in people. She was an inspirational, stoic, hardworking lady with a deep faith who modelled the perfect work life balance prioritising time for fun and relaxation too.
May the many treasured memories of a lifetime shared sustain and comfort you all at this very difficult time. May these memories in time become the invisible string that keeps you close and connected always. Leaba i measc na Naomh go raibh aici. Ní imithe uainn ach imithe romhainn.
