So sorry to hear of the passing of Granny O’Brien. My sincere condolences to all the O’Brien family. She was such a warm, lovely person — always full of kindness and hospitality. I have such fond memories of her, especially the way you’d walk in the door and within seconds be greeted with plates of biscuits, chocolate bars, and apple tart. She had such a generous heart and made everyone feel at home.

She was also a precious great-grandmother to my two, and I know those early memories — and photos with her — will always be cherished.

Her long life is a real testament to the wonderful care she received from her daughters and sons, which allowed her to stay in her own home for so long. They are to be truly commended for their dedication and love — I’ve no doubt she deeply appreciated it.
