My deepest sympathy to Mary Pat and her whole family on the death of our beloved Bridie. Bridie was like a mother to me after my mother died in 1970. She had known my mother while she was alive and after her death she became a new mother to me. I was 4 when my mom passed away and in those formative years Bridie meant so much to me and gave me so much love and warmth. Bridie and I both moved away from Boston in the 80's and always kept in touch when she moved back to Ireland. We met again when I returned to Boston in the late 90`s. Never had I met a more kind and caring women in my life. In the beginning we wrote letters then there were the phone calls and then through Mary Pat we talked via WhatsApp. I was so lucky to have known her and I finally got to meet Mary Pat again after we had met last in 1981. Her whole family was so warm and welcomed me like a part of the family. We had a splendid 4 days visiting various sites in Ireland which were important to Bridie. She and her daughters are just as warm and caring as Bridie was.
