I first met Aunt Bridie when I was still a baby and loved her then as my doting aunt visiting the US. Although rarely did we meet after that, she was always a presence to me, and I feel a deep sense of loss. I know she will be welcomed home with much love from my dad, Michael.
I never met Aunt Bridie but I know she is so beloved by all including me. I hope she and my dad/her brother Michael can catch up on all on the other side. Aunt Bridie forever lives in my heart! And ..I am very grateful to Bridie's family for their presence and support to Bridie when she needed it most in recent months. Love and condolences to all of Bridie's family and friends as we celebrate her life.
Bridie lead a full life and sad to see her pass now that she recently settled into a new community. What differentiated Bridie was her mind, sharp and clear even in her last years and unhindered by conventions, she added a refreshing view on life. She was a responsible contributor to society in her years at Blackpool rising to the rank of head nurse, and I am sure giving many a doctor a run for their money. I always thought Bridie a cautious thinker, which showed in her work, but she also had wit and it showed, unfiltered in the quick comic responses. Very much appreciate the efforts of Sr Theckla, Sr Anne, Michael and the family in being there for Bridie in her last years.

Regards,

Padraig
