Deepest sympathy to Sean Frankie & Helen and to the rest of the families, Bridget was such a wonderful lady i was pleased to call my friend, having been neighbour's for years and had the love of horses & dogs we told endless stories..Bridget use to sit for hours telling me her life stories which were very amusing and educational at times ..When we moved house a few years ago Bridget & I would speak most days on the phone always either on my way to work or on my way home it was only the last few months we didnt due to her illness she just wasnt able .. Im so sorry i didnt get to say good bye or attend the funeral as i was away but i did watch the live stream which was very emotional.. Rip Bridget I will miss your friendship thank you for being part of my life Justine Fay ❤️

I had the privilege of minding Bridget earlier this year, and I always loved listening to her incredible life stories. I was amazed by the places she’d been, and the adventures she embraced. She touched so many lives with her generosity and kindness. She was truly an inspirational woman, and I feel so lucky to have spent some time with her.

I’m sad I couldn’t be there for her send off, but she will always hold a special place in my heart.

Bridget was a great friend of mine for many years and it was my privilege to have known her so well. It meant so much to me to have spent time with her in September on my recent visit to Ireland. My heart feels incredibly heavy as I remember Bridget. Even though we knew her time was coming to an end, nothing could truly prepare me for the grief and sadness I felt when she finally left us. The grief is deep, but it is also a reflection of the love and connection we shared with her.

Bridget not only opened her hand to us, she opened her heart, making room for us in her life and home.

“Pepu, come fix this for me” — she would often say, firm yet loving.

Dear Bridget, I never thought this day would come. I still struggle to believe it, but I know you are now in the loving hands of your Maker, our Heavenly Father and Saviour Jesus Christ.

You are the reason I know God sends His angels to earth. You were truly His best gift to us, and it was a privilege to know you personally and call you my mother, our mother.

I remember the first time we met in 2008. You joyfully introduced yourself to Ken and me and immediately embraced us as your own. We had just come from Zimbabwe, young and vulnerable. From that day, you loved and cared for us like your children. You ensured we had the best—from schooling to daily needs—giving tirelessly and selflessly. I am who I am today, a young medical doctor, a married man and soon-to-be father, because God used you to open a door for me. And I know I am not the only one; you did this for many of us.

Thank you, Bridget. We will miss your strength, fierce love, and warm smile. I love you and will always cherish the memories we shared. I look forward to seeing you again in God’s time. May your precious soul rest in peace.
