I was blessed to meet and get to know Bidda while playing camogie with my school Presentation Convent and the Youghal Club. I will always be immensely grateful to her for the potential she saw in me and for arguing so strongly as a Cork selector for my inclusion at a very young age on the Cork team in 1970. She was a great mentor, a very well respected selector and her reading of the game of camogie made her a vital part of the All Ireland winning Cork four in a row teams from 1970 - 1973.
May she rest in peace.
