Many lovely memories of Bridie.May her soul rest in peace
So very sorry for your loss Sarah,
Sending much love and prayers to you and your family at this very sad time

- Barbara and family
I was so sorry to hear of Bridie's recent passing. She was a wonderfully warm and empathetic person. She had a great sense of humour and a wonderful zest for life. To me personally she was a great source of advice and wisdom for which I shall always be grateful.
A lifelong friend from my mother, Evelyn McCollum's generation. They started together in Pump street kindergarden in Derry. Strong, determined, Derry women from the 20s and 30s who made productive and successful lives for themselves. In Bridies case in Canada and in Dublin. Vivacious, generous, outgoing and popular.
Bridie was our much loved boss in Physiotherapy, St. Vincent’s Hospital. I have so many great memories especially Bridie’s kindness to me warmth good humour and sense of fun. We enjoyed many getogethers following her retirement. May Bridie rest in peace.
So sorry to learn this evening of Bridie’s passing; she was one in a million. She gave me my first job for which I remain grateful for many reasons but mostly because of the special atmosphere she created in the department. Lifelong friendships were made there; so many colleagues who have enriched my life. Bridie’s unique management style was one of nurturing, through which she brought out the best in everyone. She was as enthusiastic about our personal lives as she was about our professional lives. I learnt so much from her, perhaps more in retrospect than at the time. She was a major person in my life and I will always be deeply appreciative of her, both as a manager and as a friend. May she Rest in Peace.
I am so sorry to hear of Bridie’s passing - she was our wonderful boss in the Physiotherapy Dept at St Vincent’s University Hospital. She was a wonderful lady- full of energy and good humour and so supportive of us all. After she retired we enjoyed many coffees and afternoon teas over the years as she regaled us with stories about her travels especially to Bermuda. Bridie had great style and warmth and will always be remembered with great fondness. May she rest in peace.
Bridie was well loved part of our extended family. She was there as we grew up and as our children grew up too. She was a much loved friend - particularly of our mum Gertie Burke Gaffney (nee Brady). Fun, kind, welcoming and thoughtful. She will be missed.
Very sad to hear about the death of Bridie.
Bridie lived across the road from us in Greenville Rd, Blackrock.
A very intelligent lady, I always found her most interesting to chat to. She was so proud of all her nieces and nephews regaling great details of their individual careers etc.
And when she headed off on a marvellous trip to Singapore – I was so inspired by her.
But most of all she was happiest, getting into her car and driving home to her family in Derry – her true home.
Very much missing a lovely, warm hearted neighbour.
Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Bridie. Bridie will be remembered as a kind, considerate and lovely neighbour. May she rest in peace.
