Deepest sympathies to Bridies Family on such a Tremendous Loss. I will always treasure the Fond memories of her, She was a True Friend, I was Blessed beyond measure to have had known her. I Still have the book with some of her poems in it, that she gave me Years ago, and which I will never part with. Drogheda will Not be the same without her. She will be Sorely missed. Just watched Bridie’s funeral mass online . It was lovely and gently just as Bridie herself was. I met Bridie on the save the Cottage hospital committee and a few times since on west street . The warmth from a hug and smile from Bridie is something you never forget. Thank you Bridie for being you.

If you ever needed to feel good about yourself Bridie was the woman to bump into on west street,she was the epitomie of warmth and feel good ,she just excelled in making you better with her huge hug and her beautiful smile,I can hear her voice now as I reminisce..Bridie you deserve the very best now in your celestial home

I believe you had to meet Bridie to understand how special she was. Always kind, thoughtful, full of integrity and compassion. She was one of the best known people in the town for so many reasons. I had the privilege of taking her to 9am mass on Sundays for several years after the death of her beloved Paddy. She was always in good form, full of chat and always asking after my own family members. I was sincerely saddened to hear of her passing. There will never be her like again. May she rest in God's eternal Peace.

I first met Bridie at a writers group in Drogheda many years ago, she was great craíc and a talented poet. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years, but she was the type of person you could never forget. It was a pleasure and a gift to have known Bridie Maxwell.

Bridie ,you were a gentle lady,full of praise and saw the good in everyone,friendly ,compassionate and thrilled to meet everyone..The death of your dear Paddy took its toll for a while,but,you bounced back and enjoyed your shopping sprees and mixing with the townfolk,exchanging stories and just enjoying being you....Farewell and have a wonderful afterlife in the glory of the saviour and be joyful to be finally reunited with Paddy..You will be in your element now ,rubbing shoulders with Shakespeare,Wordsworth,Seamus Henry to name but a few....
