We are very saddened by dear Aunt Brigid’s sudden death. She was a wonderful, caring person and we always loved our visits to Galway. She and Victor were a pleasure to visit and they loved sharing the beauty, culture and history of the area with us. I greatly enjoyed our frequent chats and correspondance. We will always remember and love you, Brigid. Rest In peace.

Brid and Victor were such a wonderful couple. I am sure he is delighted to greet her and see her beautiful smile again. May they both rest in peace

It was with deep sadness that I heard of the sudden passing of Brid.It was a joy to work with her in The Mercy.She was a wonderful colleague.Sadly I was unable to attend the funeral,I was able to watch the beautiful send off you gave her.Sincere sympathy to the O'Beirne and Hurley families.Rest in sweet heavenly peace ,Brid.

I am very sad to learn of the death of Brid. I worked with her in the Vocational School Athenry and Malachy and I had the pleasure of visiting herself and Victor in their home a number of times . They loved to entertain. Brid had a great love of all things French and enjoyed her classes in the Alliance Francaise. We could all learn a lot from her zest for life . She had a great sense of style and believed very strongly in matching the outfit to the occasion especially in a professional capacity and every handbag had to match every ensemble . She had a great love for her nieces and nephews . My sympathy to all her family especially Margo and Betty. May she rest in peace with the love of her life Victor

Hearing of Brid's death was indeed sad but it was great that she got her wish of leaving this life from her own home and quickly. Thank God. Victor was a treasured staff member in St. Raphael's College, Loughrea and through him we had the privilege of getting to know Brid, the light of his life. May she be enfolded in God's eternal love together with all who have gone before her, particularly her loving husband, Victor.

We were very sad to learn of our dear Aunt Brigid’s passing. She was a lovely, warm, funny, very smart, principled lady. Our times visiting her and Uncle Victor in Galway were an absolute treat.
We were thoroughly spoiled by the beautiful landscapes combined with Brigid and Victor’s impossibly vast historical and archeological knowledge.

Reseeing Kylemore Abbey, then visiting Cong, Cong Abbey, and an ancient burial ground all in a day seemed like a dream. All while learning of the differences between Romanesque and Gothic arches, no less.
It is indeed very, very sad to think we will not see such a fine lady again.

We were delighted to share her 88th birthday with her here in the centre in October and to have her and Lorraine with us for the Christmas celebrations.
