Bridie was such a kind, gentle lady. She always had a kind word and greeting for everyone. We loved being sent down to the bakery. She showed great patience, as did the rest of the team, dealing with a troupe of kiddies who couldn't make up their minds while at the same time, were dying for a chat. We envied her job - working in the bakery. Over the years, she was still as kind and and welcoming as she had always been. It was always a pleasure meeting her. What a wonderful lady she was and such a terrible loss to you all. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May Bridie's gentle soul rest in peace. The Doorley Family, Kilree Street

So sorry to hear about Bridie’s passing. What a lovely lady she was and someone I have known since I was a little girl. Living next door to Connolly’s bakery I used ‘assist’ Bridie in the cake making department. I’m sure I was in the way but she and others used let me play along side them as they worked.
I have so many fabulous memories of those times. I will never forget the kindness that I was shown by her and all the staff there. Bridie was always so nice, may she rest in peace. Sincere sympathy to Mai and Clair and Eleanor and the rest of Bridie’s family.
