We were very sorry to hear of Brigid's death. She was a good friend and support to all her ICA friends and we all enjoyed her sense of humour and stories about Donegal. A most kind lady who was young at heart. She was so proud of her grandchildren and their various talents.

Dearest Des, Patricia, Kevin, and Brian, I don't quite have the words to express my feelings for the loss of your beautiful wife, and loving mother. Brigid was a lady beyond words. I have so many fantastic and special memories of times spent together in Ireland and Toronto. I will miss her quiet voice, and gentle giggle. She was always a young girl at heart. My sincere love and condolences to you all.

Des, Trish, Kevin and Brian, we are all so sad about Brigid's passing. I was at my Mom's side when we received the news on Saturday. I was lucky to spend time with her again during her trips to Canada, and will always remember her kindness and sense of humour. All of our love, John.

Brigid had such spirit and zest for life. It was always a joy to hear Brigid and my Granny Nuala here in Toronto chatting on the phone over the years, two sisters speaking their ‘own language’ with their own songs and jokes.

We’ll always remember our 2009 trip to Ireland and our visit with Des and Brigid, such hospitality! And we learned things about ‘our Nuala’ we’d never known before, from the ‘days before Canada.’

The twinkle in Brigid’s eye is what I’ll remember best, and I will try to keep her good example of joyous living and appreciation for family with me as the years pass.

It was a beautiful service this morning. Brigid will be dearly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

Brigid was an incredible spirit - full of happiness, humour, love and care. Incredibly lucky to have met my grannie's sister. My condolences to Des and the entire family.

I’m sorry I couldn’t attend Brigid’s funeral today but I hope to see you at some point for a chat and to convey my condolences in person.
