Sincere condolences to all the Norton family especially Sheila, Attracta, Veronica, John, Bernadette and Stephen on the loss of your lovely mother. Auntie Bridie had lovely smiling twinkling eyes and I have good memories of her and Uncle Tom often visiting our house for tea, sandwiches, cake and the chat. And also Mam bringing us children to visit her and our cousins in Laytown during the lovely summers of the 70s.
May the Lord Jesus wrap you in His Heavenly arms, Auntie Bridie and may you rest in Eternal Peace ...

To a loving and kind Mam, always caring for the family and making the most incredible Shepard's pie.
My summers were always special as I got to spend them with you, learning life skills and being out in the allotment growing the best green beans. Out on the boat learning about locks, the seaweed filled Irish channels and being rocked to sleep by the waves.
Truly blessed to have had you as my grandmother, a strong willed, heart filled woman and inspiration in my life.
Thank you Mam for being there and I know you are with the angels now showered in golden light of healing.
I love you Mam x x

Auntie Bridie was a lovely lady - I recall her as always being cheerful and in good form. Though I had not the opportunity to see her for many years, I do recall many happy memories of her, especially when visiting her house as a child at Christmastime.

It was our great privilege to care for Brigid in her final months. May she rest in eternal peace.

Dearest Brigid I love the photo of you standing in the driveway of your home framed by the beautiful mock orange flowers and wearing your statement beret. No doubt you were heading off for a walk which you did three times a day everyday covering your 3km. I was so lucky to meet you and get to know you the last two and half years; on the days when I was stressed from work you always made me smile as i would see you disappearing off for another stroll along the avenue often with the Beastie at your side. Many times I thought 'Brigid you have the right idea I will join you for fresh air' and then find you sitting at the old water pump down the avenue enjoying the view.
Your cheeky smile; your merry eyes, your memories and your great faith in God all a gift to us. I remember the day I offered you and Sheila a spin out to Port Beach and you - quite literally - hopped into the car shouting 'come on Sheila lets go!' If other people had the zest for life you have we would all be in a better world. Happy walking, swimming and sunbathing in Heaven and one day we will meet again xx

To Bernadette and all of Bridie's family,
I was so fortunate to have visited Aunty Bridie in August. She didn't know me but we still had a pleasant time. She did have some memories of her school life in Athboy and was also able to do some arm and leg exercises. She really lived life to the full. R.I.P. Bridie! May you be dancing with the Angels above :)

So sad to hear about aunt Bridie's passing. Oonagh and I visited her in the nursing home at the end of August and she seemed very content, she was smiling all the time and spoke about how much she loved the sun room. Our most sincere condolences to Bernadette and all the family - she was truely a beautiful person. Rest in Peace aunt Bridie.
