So sorry to hear of the passing of Bro. Sylvester. I attended Ard Scoil Chiaráin many years ago. During my time there, I found him to be a dedicated and kind teacher. Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
So sorry to hear that Br Sylvester has passed away.
I met him first when when I started teaching in Ard Scoil Chiaráin. He was a tremendous dedicated teacher and colleague.
His knowledge and leadership in the GAA front were legendary.
I and the people of Clara owe him a great thanks for his contributions,
May he rest in peace

Sad to hear about the passing of Bro. Sylvester. He contributed greatly to the education of many in St. Anthony's and Ard Scoil Ciaran not to mention his contribution to the GAA. Unfortunately I am out of the country at the moment and won't be able to pay my respects in person.
So sorry to hear of Bro. Sylvester's passing. He was a faithful servant who contributed so much as a Franciscan Brother throughout his life and to the education of so many throughout a dedicated teaching career. His contribution also to the GAA in Offaly was enormous as was his work in schools GAA including All Ireland success in his beloved Ard Scoil Baomh Chiarain and St. Anthony's College before that. I am deeply sorry to be out of the country presently and unable to attend his funeral so that I could pay my respects personally. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam uasal Dillon.
