Bróna Keogh

Bróna was one of the first people I met when I joined the civil service. We sat beside each other for a year and she was always great fun, really kind and so devoted and proud of her family. She was one of the real characters in the Dept of Marine and was loved by everyone. Sincere condolences to all her family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hAnam.

Very sad to hear of Brona’s passing. I knew Brona from St Kevins Young Adult Community. I fondly remember Brona being in charge of putting the burco on for tea afterwards! She was a great friend

Our Sincerest condolences to the Keogh family on the loss of Bróna. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Bróna for a few years in the Department of Transport. My sincere sympathies to Brona's family and friends. I worked with her both in the early years in the Department of Marine and in later years in the Department of Transport. I, along with many colleagues, have fond memories of Brona.

Some friends alerted me to the news of Brona's death, RIP. They like me worked with Brona in what was back then the fledgling Department of the Marine. We all have our different memories of Brona there. She often surprised me with the depth of her intellect which sometimes she would apply to considering rather complex issues. She could at times offer what might then be a different perspective on all too often perennial problems. Coming to work was an important part of her life and staff were generous in supporting her there, where possible. She loved her books too. An abiding memory I have of her, was her absolute love of her family and her joy in your successes as you lived your lives. Sympathy to you all and rest well in peace now Brona.

I have known her for many years as helper at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Bachelors Walk, where she has been at various times a Reader, Minister of the Eucharist and Altar Server. She certainly gave generously of herself in the Lord's service. I pray that she is now enjoying her reward.
