Deepest sympathy on the death of dear Brother Robert as we had known him. He worked with our Sisters in Chainama Hospital for many years right from the opening of the Hospital. The Convent and Brothers House were on the campus. He was a very humble and holy man, so well respected and loved by everyone he came in contact with, no matter where they came from. He was always so helpful and cheerful . I know many Sisters did keep in contact with him over the years. May his dear soul rest in peace and joy. Many of our Sister in Ireland are now ageing and aged, and sadly will not be able to attend the funeral. We hope to watch it on line. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all and all the family. Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Few of us can say that we spent our lives doing what we TRULY loved doing; Brother Joe could! Having been involved in the battle for Monte Casino, he determined to spend the rest of his life loving and caring for others. This he did, brilliantly and with great dedication, long past the usual retirement age, working with the physically and mentally sick in Zambia and elsewhere. He always had a great devotion to family, friends and his Hospitaller brothers and was a lively companion with an impish sense of humour. He has now gone to join many members of his family and his very BEST friend, his God.
Our deepest condolences to his brother, Bernard, his many nieces and nephews and to all his beloved Saint John of God Brothers. Our sincere thanks to each of them and to all the Sisters and Staff at the Little Sisters Care Home Raheny. May God bless and comfort you all.
