Bunty Connor

Deepest condolences to Damien, Karlie and all of Bunty's family. I only learned today of his passing and I'm devastated that I didn't attend his funeral. He was lovely man with a glint of mischief in his eyes and I enjoyed many a conversation with him. May he rest in peace.

The departure of Bunty saddened me. He was a grand man and I had many pleasant chats with him around Navan. Sympathy to all his close relations and friends on their loss.

We will never see another 'Bunty' in Ireland again. One of Ireland's great darts ambassadors of recent times. He knew almost every dart player who came to Meath and Ireland over the last forty-odd years, and a lot of them stayed in the O'Connor's, and Bunty & his wife Delia hosted them to a very high standard.

Bunty's contribution to Meath, Navan and the Irish Darts was enormous. As a member of the Irish Darts Organisation (I.D.O) and I.D.O Press Officer, for many years. 'Bunty' was also a Meath county player and Irish Darts Selector. Bunty was the first Irish darts organiser to have a car as a prize in a darts competition.
