Cal was such a warm welcoming person full of stories and tales of days past. He was great company, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Deepest sympathies to ED and family on the death of Cal. May he rest in peace
Our deepest sympathy to Jonnie, Ned and all the family on the passing of Cal RIP
So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Cal. We have wonderful memories of spending our summers next door to Cal, Ned, Johnnie and Pauline in Ardamine. We would spend our days on the beach, on sand dunes, swimming and canoeing. We also shared in the excitement of the amusements where we hoped to win a few pennies on the slot machines and enjoyed the thrill of the bumpers and twister. They were happy days.
Ned and Johnnie, my sincere sympathies to you both on the loss of Cal and also to his dear family. We will keep you and him in our thoughts.
Deepest sympathies to Ed, Ailbhe, Jonnie & Ned. I knew Cal for almost 50 years & have nothing but enjoyable memories of being in his always entertaining company. Only days before his admittance to hospital, we discussed taking the Dart to Dalkey for lunch & spending a day at the Curragh races. Sadly it was not meant to be. Cal I will forever remember your smile of greeting. Rest in peace my friend. Brendan & Marian
So sorry to hear about the sad passing of 'Gentleman Cal'. In different times we would have celebrated and remembered the the life of a great man with a great gathering. Deepest sympathies and thoughts are with all the family.
So sorry to hear about the sad passing of Cal.

Despite the fact that we lived next door, some of my strongest memories go back to when he would ring into Air Call to check his pager messages – life before mobile phones! I’m not sure he always recognised when it was the youngest Donohue manning the switchboard, especially as everyone seemed to get the same polite, friendly and above all humorous Cal, not just the neighbours!

As for any other exchanges over the years, he was never without a smile on his face; that I remember most. He will be missed on Woodbine Avenue and beyond.
Deepest sympathy to family. Cal a lifelong friend. From school days when he would tell great tales of life as a boarder to when we worked together and had such craic. A very popular guy with all who had the fortune to know him. Thanks Cal for the memories. Rest well.
Deepest sympathies to the McCarthy Family on the death of Cal. May he rest in peace
Cal's journey, always accompanied by laughter and decency, was a blessing to behold. When Cal stepped forth the world smiled. That was his God sent gift. His rendition of 'Delilah'' with the 5th octave reaching for the stars would surely leave Tom Jones frothing at the mouth. For 50 years I loved Cal like a brother. Today is a difficult time. Oh! for one more song. See you down the road my eternal friend. RIP. Love, Frank and Eileen.
Such a lovely man, with a good smile & a great welcome for all who met him:, such a sad loss to everyone: god bless Cal .

We can still see that big smile...Rest Peacefully Cal xxxx
