I was sorry to hear of the death of Fr Eamonn. He was curate in Roundfort during my time in the seminary. He was a wise and spiritual priest, always ready with words of encouragement. He was a great person and a wonderful pastor. Just over 40 years ago he supervised the arrangements for my ordination and first mass in Roundfort. He was so supportive around the occasion. Over the years we have remained friends, a special friendship that I greatly valued. I pray that he may rest peacefully in Heaven, in the presence of the Saviour he served so faithfully. My condolences to all who mourn him, especially his family members.
