May Monsignor Kevins soul rest in peace..🙏
My deepest sympathies to the O’Neill family on the loss of Kevin. I met him in 1990 when he invited me to take part in the Eigse Arts Festival. New to the area he took me on a tour of County Carlow to show me the tremendous heritage in stone that abounds in that county. I enjoyed many a cup of tea with him and discussions on art and galleries many more of which he had visited than me. He was very knowledgeable in all the arts and culture in general, a great academic who loved a prank and a good laugh with a mischievous glint in his eye. From the artist’s perspective his great legacy is Visual, Carlow.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Fr Kevin. He was a gentleman and always had time for students in Carlow College. May his soul Rest in Peacw.
Deepest condolences to The O’Neill Family, on the death of your beloved brother, Monsignor Kevin, R.I.P.. We are sorry for your loss & are thinking of you at this very sad time.
Fr Kevin was a wonderful person and and amazing president in Carlow College. He always had a kind word or a gentle nod and smile. I remember him well practicing his golf on the grounds of the college, he would always wave as students were going back to Lennon House.
May he rest in peace now with God and be welcomed with those words "well done my good and faithful servant"

Sincerest sympathy to Fr. Kevin's sisters and brothers, his extended family and friends, his confrères especially, Fr. John McEvoy, Fr. Conn and Bishop Nulty, on his untimely death.
I read it only on Sunday, I am in deep shock and greatly saddened.
I am privileged to have known Kevin and to have been his friend since 1996 when I was a member of the Validation Panel which approved the first Carlow College programme in Applied Social Studies in Social Care. Subsequently, I chaired other Reviews including the Masters in Therapeutic Care.
Visits as an extern examiner coincided with the Carlow Arts Festival when the College was transformed for a week, it gave me my first insight into Kevin's love for and patronage of the Arts.
He possessed a great intellect, was creative, a gifted artist, inspirational, an enthusiast for An Gaeilge, a leader who promoted and achieved so much, in higher education and the Arts.
He re-invented and transformed Carlow College into one which offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Social Care and the Humanities.
His legacy can be found too in the Theatre and Arts Centre which are an integral part of the campus.
I regret that we hadn't met since before that awful pandemic though we were in regular communication, the last time at Christmas. Sadly, we will not now have that game of golf that we often talked about.
Most of all, Kevin, Caoimhín, was a person of great humanity who had many friends.
May he rest in peace.
