One of the finest Captain's I ever sailed with. We took the Shell ship Halia to the scrap yard in Spain, he joined as a Deck boy and many years later left as Master, it was a very sad moment as we walked down the gangway for the last time, rest in peace Fred

So sorry to hear of Fred's death - we had such a great time together at sea and remember the visit we made when in Ireland a long while ago now!!! - but never forgotten. Our hearts go out to Therese and the family - Frank , Heather and our kids and grandkids.

Extremely sorry to learn of the passing of Fred. I knew him very well during his many visits to Teesport Refinery in the 70s and 80s. I wil always remember him with great fondness.

My condolences to Fred's family and friends. I knew Fred through working with him at Shell many years ago. He was a lovely man.
