Sad news. Carine typed my PhD thesis. Her cheerfulness and encouragement never waned (despite the endless re-drafts!). She was a kind and gentle woman. Sleep soundly.

Deepest sympathies to Carine’s family - I have fond memories of Carine when visiting my Dad’s office in the Classics department on my way home from school. She always provided such a warm welcome and a great sense of humour .

Deepest sympathies to Carine's family & friends on her passing. I have nothing but the warmest regard for and the fondest memories of Carine during my time as a student in the UCD Classics Department and her time as Secretary there. She was a most good humoured, sensible, efficient and helpful member of staff. Personally, I owe her a particular debt of gratitude because she typed my M.A. thesis in 1995. In the years since I left UCD it was always a pleasure to talk to Carine at any Classics events that I attended. Her decency will be missed and my hope is that Carine's gentle soul may rest in peace.

It seems only very recently that I saw Carine at the Montrose.
She was a dedicated warrior in UCD and so many of us studying Classics were very grateful for that.

I remember many a fun coffee break in UCD with Carine years ago. RIP Carine
