To all my cousins, I am so sad to hear of Carmel's passing. She was a beautiful aunt and all of us in The Dunphy Family loved her dearly.
Carmel was kind, generous, fun and always interested in everyone of us.
She always kept in touch with us and never forgot our birthdays, mam's birthday and mam's anniversary.
I spoke with her for 1 hr and 20 mins on 8th March last and she was amazing. Just after her fall.
I will miss her dearly.
You will all miss her greatly and the void in your lives will not be filled. We only have one mother.
But golly, weren't we lucky to have had the best mothers in our lives.
Hope to be with you over the next few days..
May our lovely aunt rest in peace always.

A devoted mother of ten and a dedicated nurse, Carmel was a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and boundless generosity. Her Catholic faith guided her life — she lived with grace, humility, and a heart full of compassion.

She was the kindest soul; she was gentle, self-sacrificing, and always there when you needed her. You could talk with her for hours and feel truly heard. She gave so much of herself to her family, always putting her children first. Even before long days at work, she would visit family members in hospital to comfort them, never hesitating to go without so her children had what they needed.

We are heartbroken by her passing, but comforted in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and held in God’s eternal embrace.

Rest peacefully, Carmel — we are so proud to be yours, and your love will remain with us always.

To all my cousins and your wider families, I am so sorry your mam has passed. To me she was the loveliest of aunts.
Carmel was so special to us and cared so much about all of us Dunphys'.
I remember my beautiful aunt as kind and gentle who always put others first.
Her relationship as a sister to my mam was very very special.
Carmel shared so many parts of mam and Dad's lives with us that we would have never known about. I will always remember her for this.
I know what a loss Carmel will be to all of you.. She is a huge loss to us also. We loved her.
