So saddened to hear of Carmel's death.
I have many fond memories of happy times that we shared as boarders in the Convent of Mercy, Moate.

Carmel and Kieran were great mates of mine when we all lived in Ashtead the UK in the 80's-90's. I helped them with the move back to Ireland and have great memories of all our social times. I returned to NZ in 2003 and returned to visit the UK with my wife and mother in 2009, including a trip to visit Carmel and the lads. They showed us around the local sights and looked after us well. A true gem, rest in peace, Tony and Andie, NZ

She was proud of her sons and spoke well of them.She will be greatly missed by her sons, brother, sisters, and extended Smyth and Barry families and all who knew her. Please God all your suffering is over and God grants you eternal rest and peace in heaven. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
