My deepest condolences to the Curtin family on the loss of your beloved Carmel. I remember her in Colaiste Chroí Naofa as an incredibly gentle, kind and warm teacher and person. She had a real positive influence on so many students in her time there.

I was saddened to hear of Carmel’s passing. I have lovely memories of summer holidays in Whitegate when we were all young.I have special memories of the holiday Carmel and I spent in New York in the mid 70’s. She was such a warm, gentle person with a great sense of humour. She was wonderful company. The tributes paid to her in the condolences section by her past students are testimony to the kind of person Carmel was. My sympathies to Jerry, and to Muireann, Liam, Rita and Jim. My condolences also to my cousins Brendan, Geraldine and Martin. May Carmel enjoy the heavenly peace she so richly deserves.
