I was very sorry to hear of Carmel’s death. I have very fond memories of her over the years , from my time in Scoll Áine and more recently at bridge. She was always a lovely lady. My sincere sympathy to you on your great loss.

So so sorry for you loss Ger, Mary and family. I have very fond memories of your lovely mother, picking out my communion dress (making me feel like a princess) and giving me free hair clips whenever we popped into the shop in Clondalkin. And great memories of doing the fashion show at the Green Isle Hotel and her buying me and my brother Coca Cola and crisps as a reward (even though our modelling careers didn’t take off!) What a kind and beautiful lady she was. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your much loved mother, Ger and Mary. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. She was a remarkable woman—strong and independent. She lived life on her own terms and always knew her own mind. We could all take a leaf from her book. She lived a marvellously long life, and in such good health until the final year. I hope you can find comfort in knowing how much she must have appreciated the loving care you gave her throughout the years. You are in my thoughts.

Carmel always radiated peacefulness and it was evident she loved and was very proud of her family. Carmel also had a wicked sense of humour. We won’t see her likes again. Go neiri an bothar leat. Sorry to hear about the death of Carmel. I spent many hours playing and sorting buttons and patterns in Carmel’s wool shop, while my Mam was working. A special part of my childhood memories. Carmel was always so nice to me. Lovely woman. May she now rest eternally in heaven.
