So difficult to write this, sincere condolences to everyone. Carmel was more than an aunt, a 2nd mammy, a nanny and a friend to us. We learned so so much from her and we will miss her terribly. As a child and teenager she had such a positive role in my life. She treated me like her own. I had the craic, more belly laughs than I can remember, had amazing experiences and made so many memories in Annaghmore with Carmel and family. I know our sometimes questionable ideas would test her patience but she was always there to let us figure it out, laugh when it went well and support us when we needed it. Ill miss the quiet chats we had in later years though most of all. Sleep well in eternal peace Nanny Carmel. I'm sure daddy has a seat saved for you up there and he has the dancing shoes on ready to give you a spin around the floor. Love always and thank you xx
