I got to know Carmel in her last year.John Bohan asked me if I had books which Carmel would like. She liked Jack Reacher books and i gave her a lot of them. I bought the latest but did not to give it to her. She was a fine lady and I will remember her. God Bless. Derek

To our dear friend and Auntie Carmel, what started out as you being our neighbour in No. 6, The Tramways, turned into one of the best friendships of our lives. The love and care you gave our boys was like that of a beloved grandmother. Your friendship meant everything to us. The laughs we shared through the ups and downs of life, and the love and loyalty you gave to us and our boys, will stay with us forever.
We will miss our nightly WhatsApp messages, walks, food dates, and sharing photos, stories, and funny memes — the endless cups of coffee and carrot cake dates.
