Carmel Kilroy
(née Hughes)

Carmel and I were friends as medical students at Trinity and at Baggot Street hospital in the 1970s. Carmel was a loyal, supportive and generous friend who always had a smile on her face even after a busy night on call. She was admired and loved by all her fellow students and by everyone she worked with. I know she will be greatly missed and my thoughts are with Derry, Lucy, Dorothy and Gillian and all Carmel's family at this sad time.

Derry, Lucy, Dorothy, Gillian, my sincere sympathy to you on the death of Carmel, memories of meeting you both on trips, you were always so special, and we enjoyed so many happy times with you. May your beloved Carmel rest in peace.

I have such happy memories of Carmel and her sister Rose in Dublin in the early 70s. Care free years that they were.

So so sad to hear of Carmel’s untimely death. Unfortunately we are out of the country and missed her funeral. We met Carmel at Bridge and she was always so friendly and chatty.

Brendan partnered her at bridge on Thursday nights and thoroughly enjoyed every game. In 2023 she won my (Therese) President’s prize. To Derry, her daughters and extended family we offer our most sincere sympathy and may the Lord comfort all of you. May her gentle and beautiful soul rest in eternal peace
