So shocked to hear of our dear friend Carmel’s passing. Just heard this weekend.
Disappointed and saddened that we were not at the funeral to pay our respects to such a dear lovely friend. May Carmel rest in peace with Martin and baby Kenneth.
We were privileged to be their neighbours on Watson Road for all of 40 years. Such sad news . We shared many interests and had a lot of laughs together. You will be sadly missed Carmel.

I am so sorry to hear about Carmel's passing. My sincere condolences to all of her family. I had the pleasure of meeting Carmel when she was receptionist at Station House. She was always so warm, kind and thoughtful and my children loved her - she always had a little sweet treat for them in her bag. There was no limit to her acts of kindness - when my cousin was very ill, Carmel arranged for a Capuchin friend of hers to visit her in hospital - a visit which brought great comfort. Oh she brightened up the darkest of days with her colourful outfits, sparkling jewellery and radiant smile. It was a joy to have known Carmel - she was such a bright light. Rest in peace Carmel.

So sad to hear of Carmel's sudden passing but glad of the opportunity to meet and sympathise with her family at the funeral today in Dean's Grange cemetery . I have such fond memories of working with her in Central Statistics Office . May she rest in peace with her much loved Martin and baby Kenneth.
