Heartfelt sympathy to Paddy, Daragh and extended Long family and Grandchildren. We are so sorry to hear of Carmel’s passing. We all have very fond memories of her minding Emma for us as did Paddy who both looked after her so well and she enjoyed being with them doing all the little jobs with them and Carmel’s great sense of humour and her stories and her robins. She was a very proud Mother, Grandmother and a lovely lady. May Carmel’s kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace reunited with parents.

To Sylvia, Declan, Darragh, Derbhla and Ger - I am sad to learn of Auntie Carmel’s passing. I know her presence will be missed greatly by you all. The loss of a mum, is life altering but in times of such great change as this I hope you can comfort each other & share memories of happy times so as to help ease the hurt. I feel God has chosen Carmel to return to him in an important month. I always admired her adoration for Mary. The 27/11/1830 is when Our Lady appeared and requested the creation of the ‘miraculous medal’. Carmel’s faith has sustained her in life and I am sure she’s now in the arms of Mary. I will pray for her soul and for your courage in grief. Sent with love, compassion and kindness.
