Wonderful, cheerful Carmel,
From super Sligo,
Wherever she went,
She always had a happy glow;
A lover of Irish culture,
And the music of the Emerald Isle,
A wonderful person,
Who always had a smile.

From a big musical family,
Flutes and fiddles galore,
That played lovely traditional music,
Music that makes the spirit soar;
One of eleven siblings,
Six boys and five girls,
Whose personalities & musical abilities,
Shone like the brightess of pearls.

Twice I enjoyed her and Jimmy's hospitality,
We stayed up well into the night,
She talked of musical memories,
Hearing her was a delight;
To stay in that 'musical' house,
Of wonderful Jimmy & Carmel,
I was certainly blessed,
Of this wonderful experience I now gratefully tell.

She has now physically left us,
From her we are apart,
But the memory of her music & her personality,
Will remain in many a person's heart;
She's now with the Divine,
Radiating peace and sunshine,
With lovely God, Jimmy, Seamus, her siblings, family & friends,
Making our life journies easier, nicer and fine.
