When I met her for the first time, I felt immediately at ease in her presence. I felt I had known her all my life. Many have been enriched by knowing her and being in her presence. She has left a shining legacy, and is a bright light taken too early. Her acceptance of Gods calling is an example to us all. Ni bheidh a leitheid ann aris. May she rest in peace.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Carmel’s death .We shared a bed sit in Dublin when both worked in St James’s Hospital in the 70s . She was such a lovely lady & we had great fun & crack . Hadn’t met her for years, but met up a couple of years back here in Bandon . To her husband, sons , daughters , brothers, sisters , especially Julie & niece Sharon , I extended my deepest sympathy.
